Educational Programs at Stillwaters

"Nature inspires creativity in a child by demanding visualization and the full use of the senses... In nature a child finds freedom, fantasy, privacy..."
~Richard Louv

Our philosophy about discovery and learning

At Stillwaters, we offer an experiential, participatory, and multi-disciplinary approach to teaching environmental education.
Our learning landscape intends to foster ecological literacy through:
  • Systems Thinking
  • Sustainability, and
  • Place-Based Education.

Programs for adults

We offer various educational opportunities throughout the year. They range from lectures about Climate Change to classes about bird behavior to weekly discussion courses about various sustainability topics. To receive updates please subscribe to the weekly Cutthroat email by emailing the office.

Programs for youth

Stillwaters is always happy to talk with local educators in the creation of partnerships with local schools and youth educational programs. At this time we are focusing on working with these partners who have prearranged and specific educational goals in relation to working with Stillwaters. Please email us at info@stillwatersenvironmetalcenter.org for more information.

Internships
