This annual "Global Day of Giving" event takes place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Gi❤️ingTuesday helps nonprofits to cut through the noise of Black Friday and
and brings back the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
Picture
In this time of division and polarization, generosity is what brings people of all political views,
all races, and faiths together.

Generosity is our individual power to make a positive change.
It's what motivates the volunteers who give of their time to keep our data current, and
It's a fundamental value we can all act on.
 Everyone has something to give.

It’s the collective spirit of generosity that brings change to our communities
when individuals give what they can.

This year, remember the critical role our local estuary plays
in the salmon-orca challenge that we face here in the Puget Sound.
Make an investment in this precious local resource
-in Stillwaters Environmental Center-
whose ongoing
restoration & monitoring is bringing the system back to it's natural function for the salmon
and for the 140 NW species who depend upon the salmon.
Picture ... AND TALKING ...
The old adage is true: when their work is done, when their aim is fulfilled,
the most powerful of leaders can retire knowing

it's those whom they have inspired
who truly own the vision...

...and our inspired, long-time volunteers have been talking.

Dollars pledged during Gi❤️ingTuesday support the academic research & technological advances that
our two new interns -
Robert Cassis & Pranav Bhardwaj, starting in 2020 - and our evolving partnerships with Western Washington University’s Huxley College of the Environment, and the Program on the Environment at University of Washington bring to the watershed, and to the region. Dollars pledged during Giving Tuesday pay for the maintenance and purchase of monitoring equipment, and fund outreach to communities, like yours, impacted by the health of our watershed.
The same watershed - the same food web - that supports the salmon & the orca.

And though Gi❤️ingTuesday is one special day online, globally, to celebrate the spirit of giving together, that spirit flows beneath our fish passages throughout the season. You can give at any time. At whatever amount. With check, credit card or cash. Like the tidal exchange where culverts once stood, your support for a healthy habitat allows the work to continue.
