LANDSCAPE DESIGN CLASS FOR EVERY HOMEOWNER

STILLWATERS & MASTER GARDENERS TEAM UP FOR YOU!  Stillwaters Environmental Center and Kitsap County Master Gardeners, a program of WSU County Extension Program, are working together to present a series of dynamite gardening seminars for North Kitsap residents!

"Taming Your Yard: Landscape Design for Every Homeowner" is the first in this series, and will be held on Thursday, June 2, 5:00 – 8:30 pm, at Stillwaters Environmental Center (26059 Barber Cut Off Road, Kingston).  Our facilitators are Peg Tillery, from WSU Cooperative Extension;  Fay Linger, Audubon Birder; and Jim Leary, Architect. They are all Master Gardeners, as well.

Learn about the importance of a plan for your yard, and how to create a landscape plan that fits your particular situation. Also learn about the use of native plants, whether using them exclusively or intermingling them with non-natives.

Several varieties of native plants from the Stillwaters Restoration Nursery will be available for sale.  These are surplus plants, in 1 gallon containers, which we will be selling for only $5 each.

Bring your native plants & landscaping questions! The seminar includes an outdoor lectures (weather permitting), a Stillwaters garden tour, and a sale of native plants. Light supper is also included! The cost is $35 per person or $50 per couple.

Please pre-register by May 31 by calling 360-297-2876 or email to info@stillwatersenvironmentalcenter.org.
