MONITORING TEAM OPENINGS AVAILABLE
Is water monitoring in your future? The Cutthroats of Carpenter Creek Stream & Estuary Monitoring Team has a few openings. The creek is monitored at four sites on one Sunday every month. The Estuary Team monitors the salt marsh, estuary, cove and marina, also on one Sunday a month.
Each monitor’s commitment is for 1 - 2 hours on that Sunday. All monitors are trained and supervised by the Kitsap County Stream Team, a program of Kitsap Surface and Storm Water Management.
You don’t need an extensive science background to learn to do these tests. Monitors are trained “on the job” and in annual training updates by the County and Sea Grant staff.
Contact Joleen at Stillwaters for more information at 297-2876. See you on the stream!!!
